Dewalt DWD112 Review 2017 Best Selling Corded Drill

If I had to pick just one corded drill to own, then it would be the Dewalt DWD 112, and no surprise it is the one of the best selling drills in the world. There is in my humble opinion no better product around today and is amazing value for money.

Quick Summary Review

The DWD 112 costs less than $50, has over 400 buyer reviews over at Amazon and gets a 92% satisfaction rate. It truly does not get much better than that. As well as this supporting information, you also get to own a Dewalt tool, and it really does not get much better than that.

You can see from the picture above that this is a basic, but quality made drill that looks great. Many of the professionals that I have worked beside will use this model as their general work horse for doing their main drilling jobs.

It feels great in the hand as well but I don’t want to bore you too much about handle design, other than to say that this brand knows what it is doing when it comes to the balance and general feel of holding a drill.

The Important Features of the DWD 112 Model

This is a feature packed product but in this section I just want to deal with those features that I think makes this drill a best seller. There are quite literally thousands of available brands with their different models, so it is important to understand why I would pick this one out above all others.

  • A strong 8 Amp motor that delivers genuine power and torque – great for those heavy duty jobs
  • Has a metal long lasting 3/8″ chuck that really grips your drill bits
  • Can generate up to 2,500 RPM with variable speed which offers a lot of versatility
  • Constructed with ball bearings which adds years of life to any drilling product

Great Peace of Mind With Your Purchase

dewalt confidenceThere is a lot to like about this product. It comes in the distinctive yellow brand color and weighs approximately 4 pounds, so nice and easy to hold and use.

A great deal is that this one comes with a 90 day money back guarantee. That should tell you just how confident Dewalt are that you will love this product. In addition to that there is a 3-year warranty along with a one year service contract.

The Pros & Cons of the Dewalt DWD112

You may have already worked this out but there are a lot more pros than cons with this drill. I will deal with the smaller issues that are not great on this drill as to be honest, there are not that many.

  • Some reviewers mention that the trigger is a tad sensitive when trying to get the right speed
  • Does not come with a case

  • It is great value for money
  • Worth buying for the metal chuck alone
  • Has a nice weight to it

powerfull drill – has already helped me build a chair and a 8×10 shed base – wish it was impact but it does well anyway

These are just a couple of reviews from the many hundreds over at Amazon. They sum this product up nicely. I am a cordless drill user myself, however there are certain jobs where you need a bit more power, and for those a corded drill is much better.

This is also true if you are doing a lot of drilling as the battery will eventually start to run down in a cordless. That is when owning a corded drill can really come into its own. When I looked around at the many models of these that are available then the Dewalt DWD112 stands out from the crowd.

It offers amazing value for money and will last for years.
