Dewalt DPG82-11C Review 2017
I have seen more than enough eye accidents in my lifetime than I should have. If men had simply taken the time to put these on, they would all have their full sight today.
There are plenty of these safety goggles in the market but here at Tool And Go, we happen to think these are the best and certainly very good value for money.
In this article we check out if you are getting good value for your money, and if these goggles will suit your needs?
For those who don’t have time to read my full and detailed review, you can click the link below and go straight to Amazon, where you can find more information, and buy if you think they are right for you.
For those of you who have a little more time, then please read my more detailed review below on the DPG82-11C goggles.
Quick Product Features Guide
- At the time of writing there are almost thousand of online buyer reviews available, which should tell you just how well these goggles sell
- On average they rated their overall satisfaction at 84%
- Good ventilation to help stop them fogging up
- Strap is easy to adjust and comfortable
- Good tough lenses that are easy to replace which we think is important
Safety goggles serve only one purpose and that is to completely protect your eyes when using tools. I just wish that more men would use them instead of being so macho. If you would like to read more about general safety procedures when drilling then please click here.
This Dewalt model does a really good job of doing that as the lenses are well protected at the front and importantly to the side. You will already know that if you work with tools there will be flying pieces of wood or metal and if one of those gets into your eyes, then you can easily be in serious trouble.
The same goes for dust and small chippings. Although not as serious as a piece of metal it is still very irritating.
Fitting & Adjusting
A common complaint is that goggles can be hard to get fitted properly and is in fact a common excuse used by many guys not to put them on in the first place. These are easy to adjust and the cloth band on these is a lot more comfortable than any rubber one that I have used. The adjustment is pretty easy.
The reality is that almost any safety glasses or goggles that I have ever worn fog up at some stage. These do have a ventilation channel that helps reduce that quite a bit.
Many men have to wear glasses. I checked with a couple of the guys who contribute here at Tool And Go and also wear glasses. They confirmed to me that these DPG82’s fit over them easily and that is important to know.
As I mentioned earlier there are plenty of goggles on the market but these do cater well for people who have prescription glasses, as they fit well and don’t fog up too much.
Headphones, Ear Protectors & Dust Masks
If you are working in an environment where you may also have to use ear protectors and dust masks, then these goggles will also fit well with these. For sure you will probably look like something out of a Science Fiction movie, but you will be safe and that is what it is all about.
Customer Buyer Reviews and Scores
These are good quality and also good value for your money. If you are someone who takes their safety seriously then you will want to own a good pair of goggles. We think that at the time of writing this review, these are the best in the market.
At the time of writing we found around 2,000 buyer reviews who gave this set an average rating of 84% stars. Overall the reviews on Amazon and other websites are positive, though we noticed one issue that is important to note. Almost every negative review complained that they had issues with fogging up.
Dewalt do advertise these as being “fog-free” but there is really no such thing. All safety goggles fog up and so do these. We think that they do a slightly better job than most at doing that.
One reviewer said this:
They are a well made product and protect your eyes very well, but they fog up and that was the main reason I bought these.
Conclusion & Verdict
You are getting good value for your money with the Dewalt DPG82-11c Concealers but please just do not expect them to be 100% fog free. This was the main concern for any negative reviews that we read. Buyers did like the quality and the comfort of these goggles and they knew that they were well enough protected. One reviewer summed this up pretty well when he said,
These are so much better than the 99 cent glasses you get at typical hardware stores
We would not hesitate in recommending these to you because they are high quality and great value for money.
